Looks Like The Fyre Festival Curse Is Continuing...

Would you pay good money for dinner with LeBron James? Or for tickets to a Victoria's Secret Runway Show?

E-mails have been coming into the inboxes of Fyre Festival attendees, and these folks are not taking the bait, they've been duped before. Because, we obviously haven't forgotten that multi-genre, star-studded lineup that failed to be involved at the last minute.

According to Vice's most recent report, there are multiple people that have come forward saying that they've received e-mails like this since December 2017.

"Seth Crossno, who attended the ill-fated festival last April and reported on the disaster under the satirical Twitter persona 'William Needham Finley IV.' They haven’t stopped since. 'I get them pretty much every week. It’s hilarious,' he said, adding that he knows of at least four people who attended the doomed festival and are now receiving the emails. Another attendee, who did not want her name on the record, also confirmed she was on the mailing list."

Some other extravagant promises included a seat at the MET Gala, valued at $30,000, with the caveat that Anna Wintour must approve you to attend.

Vice News shares that the people are being contacted by a Frank Tribble at NYC VIP Access, and he said: "the offers are real, and that he didn’t know why the emails appeared to be targeting Fyre Festival attendees." That the list he is using to contact people is that of the list that the company has provided for him.

When Vice did the digging, the website has only been up since November 2017, and Tribble noted that it was a couple hip-hop affiliated people in charge, who combined their contacts.

Smells like a load of you-know-what to me, man. Especially after everything that happened with Fyre Festival. Everyone should be a little on guard, especially if they are receiving these emails and were somehow attached to Fyre Festival.

For us more common folk, we'll stick to reading Vice's report on this, and maybe someone will be kind enough to fall for the deal and let us know what happens.
